Come già era stato annunciato il disco è prodotto da Pete Kember (aka Sonic Boom), ed il titolo ‘Congratulations’ sembra proprio che debba essere quello definitivo. Viene anche ufficializzata la presenza alle backing vocals di Jennifer Herrema (RTX ed ex Royal Trux). Sonic Boom ha dichiarato: “The album has an overall air of electronic exuberance, quirky instrumental introspection and their trademark soul-searching crescendos of psychedelia”. Andrew VanWyngarden e Ben Goldwasser avevano incontrato Kember ad un recente concerto della sua creatura Spectrum in quel di Londra.
