Steve Diggle lascia momentaneamente da parte i Buzzcocks per dedicarsi ad un album solista. Il primo che uscirà a suo nome si intitola ‘Air Conditioning’. Il chitarrista/catante, che all’indomani dello split della band madre aveva formato i Flag Of Convenience (siamo nel lontano 1982), si affianca a Chris Remington al basso. “It’ll be under my name, because I thought I’ve been Buzzcocks, I’ve been Flag of Convenience, another name would just confuse people. Plus, if anyone leaves this band, I’m still in, because I’m it” . L’album uscirà in aprile ma sul Myspace dell’artista è già possibile ascoltare il signolo ‘Hey Maria’. “I started the record at the beginning of last year before the Buzzcocks started the tour. I had four songs to go, but it’s taken a whole year to get back to them. It’s weird picking up after a year and finishing it off, but it’s sounding good. I’m pleased with it” .
