Riformati da un paio d’anni con alterne sortite speciali come il nome. Punto di riferimento di un’epoca (fine ‘70), di un genere (ska revivalista) e di un’etichetta (2 Tone). Dopo aver consumato il tour che nel 2009 celebrava i 30 anni, la band di Coventry si ripresenta in pompa magna nel 2011 annunciando un tour europeo che comprenderà anche l’Italia (Milano) per una sola data. Ad inizio novembre Terry Hall ha provveduto a specificare che durante gli show verranno eseguiti i primi due storici album, ovverosia l’omonimo del 1979 ed il seguente ‘More Specials’. Gli attuali Specials prevedono in line-up gli originali Terry Hall, Lynval Golding, Neville Staple, Roddy Byers, Horace Panter e John Bradbury.
