Dopo il recente ‘Your Future Our Clutter’, dopo l’annuncio della ristampa del classico ‘This Nation’s Saving Grace’ in edizione triplo CD, dopo aver svelato di aver preso a bottigliate e brutte parole i mediocri finto-folk Mumford & Sons , Mark E. Smith conferma la lavorazione di un nuovo album negli Hustle Studios di Manchester e prende di mira questa volta gli altrettanto mediocri These New Puritans . “No, [the new songs] are a lot heavier actually. We do this song and… it’s like a Greek heavy metal group . We’ve rearranged the song and put totally different lyrics on it. It sounds really good. It’s like… well, I can’t describe it, really. A bit like Aphrodite’s Child, yeah… but better!” . Durante una delle ultime esibizioni live, oltre a proporre un nuovo brano (’Greenway’), Smith si è prodotto in una lunga declamazione contro i These New Puritans : “they were irritating and had leant on the Fall”. Viva viva il nostro eroe.
