Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried S*** every day” . Uscita che aveva creato indignazione e sgomento nell’opinione pubblica ma anche tra i fan più incalliti del Moz. Si attendeva dunque una riposta da parte dell’artista britannico che (non) puntualmente è arrivata oggi attraverso una lettera scritta al sito True To You:
The recent killings in Norway were horrific. As usual in such cases, the media give the killer exactly what he wants: worldwide fame. We aren’t told the names of the people who were killed – almost as if they are not considered to be important enough, yet the media frenzy to turn the killer into a Jack The Ripper star is … repulsive. He should be un-named, not photographed, and quietly led away. The comment I made onstage at Warsaw could be further explained this way: Millions of beings are routinely murdered every single day in order to fund profits for McDonalds and KFCruelty, but because these murders are protected by laws, we are asked to feel indifferent about the killings, and to not even dare question them. If you quite rightly feel horrified at the Norway killings, then it surely naturally follows that you feel horror at the murder of ANY innocent being. You cannot ignore animal suffering simply because animals “are not us.”

Il ragionamento non fa una piega ma la sua resta comunque un’uscita piuttosto infelice. Anche se la prima volta che ho letto la notizia ho abbozzato un sorriso.
…sicuramente una dichiarazione d’effetto, che io non avrei mai fatto….anche perchè non sono un personaggio famoso ;) Ma forse il Morrisey se lo può permettere…… certo che a questo punto si potrebbe anche virare il discorso su tutte le cazzo di stragi che per esempio si commettono in africa e in altri posti senza che nessuno alzi un dito….. ma vabbè, cazzo, a sto punto però poi non si finirebbe mai….. Lui porta avanti questa di “battaglia” e menomale che almeno lo fa….. Poi certo ripeto, quantomeno con metodi molto diretti…

Ma sti gran cazzi degli animali, lunedì mi compro un maiale e lo sbrano vivo mentre me lo in°°lo! Alla faccia de sto cojone che annulla i concerti 24 ore prima! Ma vaff!
Sottoscrivo Andrea mentre divoro costolette, quel concerto annullato di due anni fa ancora non me lo spiego e forse neanche lui, maledetto ciccione, quanto odio quel ciccione.
