La prima band ad inaugurare l’esodo dalla Touch & Go. Una band fondante per la stessa etichetta ma che ora, visti i problemi economici a dir poco irreversibili, si trova a dover cambiare casa. I mai troppo incensati cambiano aria ed entrano alla Temporary Residence. La label di Brooklyn ha nel roster formazioni come Explosions In The Sky , Eluvium e Mono . A questo punto il seguito dell’ottimo ‘Autumn Of The Seraphs’ del 2007 è previsto agli albori del 2010. Ecco il comunicato di commiato lasciato dalla band di San Diego:

“Pinback would like to thank Touch and Go Records for putting out our last 2 releases. We have nothing but good things to say about the label. It’s hard to see them go. The releases that they did over the last 25+ years have been an inspiration to us, and it was an honor to be on the label. We hope that Touch and Go Records will rise again, they have been such a positive influence on us. We made a lot of friends over the course of the 5 years we were there, we felt like we were a part of a family. You couldn’t ask for anything more. We wish Corey Rusk and everyone that worked there the best. At the same time we are looking forward to starting a new chapter in Pinback’s future with Temporary Residence. It’s important to us that the label we are a part of has a down-to-earth, genuine ‘human vibe’ to it. We feel this is the case at Temporary Residence. We can’t wait and are looking forward to writing a solid new record for them”.
